Privacy Policy

Who we are
Keeps ("we", "us") is a private app for preserving meaningful moments. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. The data controller is Albert Bisgaard Vallo, contactable at valloe.albert@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account information: your email address, used to create your account, sign you in, and send confirmation and password-reset codes.
- Profile information: a username, a display name, and an optional profile picture you choose.
- Content you create: the photos, notes, titles, dates, and any location you add to your keeps.
- Location (optional): only if you choose to tag where a moment happened, using your device location or a place you select. Never collected in the background.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or cross-app tracking. We do not read your device's contacts, and we access only the photos you explicitly choose to add.
How we use your data
We use your information solely to provide the app: to store your keeps, authenticate you, let you share keeps with the people you choose, and send account-related emails. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Sharing
- With other people: a keep is private by default. Your content becomes visible to another person only when you explicitly share it with them or a group you belong to.
- With service providers: we use Supabase to host our database, storage, and authentication, and Resend to deliver account emails. They process data only on our behalf. We share your data with no one else, and never with advertisers.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure provided by Supabase, hosted in the United States. If you are in the EU, this means your data is transferred outside the EU; we rely on our providers' standard contractual protections. All data is encrypted in transit.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Account settings → Delete account), which permanently removes your keeps, notes, photos, shares, and profile.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. To exercise any of these, contact valloe.albert@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Denmark, Datatilsynet).
Children
Keeps is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date at the top of this page.
